Across the world the number of people losing their lives continues to rise, with many countries going back into lockdown, and knock-on effects of the pandemic increasing poverty on a global scale. COVID-19 doesn’t respect national boundaries. As long as it exists anywhere it is a threat everywhere.
Now, one group is working to bring an end to the pandemic for good across the globe.
The ACT Accelerator (ACT-A) brings together world-leading health organizations, scientists, businesses, civil society, philanthropists and governments to support the development and equitable distribution of the tests, treatments and vaccines the world needs to fight COVID-19.
Countries can’t beat this virus alone. Global solidarity is the fastest and most effective way to defeat the pandemic and kick-start the world into recovery so that we can get back the best of our pre-pandemic lives.
As we approach the anniversary of the virus breaking out, learn more about its full impact, the work of ACT-A, and what governments need to do to help tackle COVID-19 for everyone.
