Learn More about this cause:

This summer, France experienced the climate crisis firsthand as wildfires ravaged more than 20,000 hectares of forest.

The situation is dire. Action must be taken within the next three years to prevent further catastrophe. And nowhere is action more needed than in the countries of the Global South, where climate change is wreaking disproportionate havoc through floods, fires, and extreme heat.

Wealthy, major-emitting countries like France have a responsibility to help. At the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference, rich countries agreed to mobilize US$100 billion per year to help poorer countries mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. While this funding target was supposed to be met by 2020, it still hasn't been delivered.

There can be no effective climate solutions without climate justice. Communities of the Global South need climate support now. Send an email urging French President Emmanuel Macron to help ensure this critical funding is delivered without delay!
