Africa stands at a crossroads. It’s home to some of the world’s best renewable energy potential, yet more than 600 million people still live without reliable power — holding back education, healthcare, and economic growth.
At the same time, African innovators are leading the charge — from solar mini-grids in Kenya to wind farms in South Africa and hydropower in Ethiopia. The solutions exist. What’s needed now is ambition, partnership, and investment.
The G20 Summit is a moment for world leaders, and African governments, to act decisively. By investing in clean, homegrown energy, they can unlock millions of jobs, expand access, and strengthen resilience across the continent.
Africa has the ideas, talent, and resources to build a clean energy future. Now the world must match that ambition with the funding and commitment it deserves. The time to act is now and together, we can light up the path forward.
