Ghana’s Renewable Energy Master Plan (REMP) sets a powerful vision—boosting renewables from while helping 1,000 off‑grid communities access clean energy and reducing reliance on biomass for cooking. It’s a plan built for long-term growth, job creation, and climate resilience.

Now, Ghana is turning the plan into progress. The new  programme to scale up renewable energy will deliver power to over 70,000 rural and coastal residents. The government aims for nearly universal electrification—99.8% by 2030—through community-led development and strong international partnerships.

This isn’t just lights, it’s livelihoods. Better electricity powers small businesses, schools, health centers, and clean cooking solutions — cutting costly, smoky fuel and unlocking new opportunities for entrepreneurs and everyday families alike. The Energy Ministry is also calling on local people to help build and manage these systems to ensure lasting benefit.

Now is the moment. Share a message with President Mahama, his leadership can move this from projects to power for every Ghanaian, electrified, empowered, and ready to thrive.
