Learn More about this cause:

Before COVID-19, the world was in a global education crisis with hundreds of millions of kids out of school. Now, COVID-19 school closures are disproportionately impacting children living in poverty who too often lack resources, like the internet ortelevision, to learn remotely. As a result, millionsof more children are now at risk of being forced out of school forever. Yet for many of these children, school is their chance of hope for a better future.

Luckily, the United States can play a critical role in making sure every child, no matter where they live or what their circumstances are, can learn.Through a strong investment in global education, and with support for crucial initiatives like the Education Cannot Wait fund(which last year mobilized over $60M that reached 9 million children and young people living in 34 conflict and crisis-affected countries),the United States can help foster a brighter future for children around the world, and for generations to come.

Education Cannot Wait is aiming to reach millions more in the next few months, with the help of our leaders in the Senate andHouse of Representatives.

Now’s our chance to tell the leaders and members of the Senate Appropriations Committee that we are looking to them to help safeguard the future of vulnerable kids across the world. Sign now ― ask the US Congress to increase its leadership in global education by investing in ECW. We will hand over your signatures to all the members of the committee in a few weeks.
