Lack of reliable electricity affects lives deeply: students can’t study after sunset, hospitals face dangerous blackouts, and businesses lose income. Energy access is not a luxury—it’s a basic right that enables growth, health, and dignity.
Renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal) is affordable, scalable, and powerful. Africa’s climate, geography, and resources make it primed to lead the clean energy transition if supported properly.
Denmark has already pushed on policies and partnerships that reflect climate leadership, showing the world how transformative international cooperation and investment can be. These efforts are already having a positive impact in places like Kenya and Morocco via clean energy cooperation.
Now is the moment to multiply that impact. When Denmark invests in green infrastructure in African communities, it creates jobs, improves health outcomes, strengthens climate resilience—and shows other countries the power of commitment.
Tell @MetteFrederiksen that her leadership matters and that investing in clean energy in Africa can change millions of lives.
