Denmark, It's Time to Power 1 Million Lives

Global Citizens are calling on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen Jørgensen to help fund clean power projects that could reach 1 million people.

What to know:

  • We’re collecting messages to share in a video for Denmark's leaders this September — and your voice can help push them to act
  • We’ll post selected messages in a video on LinkedIn, tagging Danish leaders — and invite Global Citizens to comment.
  • Could you record a short video message? Our we'll share it with Denmark this September.

Learn More about this cause:

Africa has lots of sunshine and wind — perfect for clean energy. But millions of people still live without electricity. That means no lights at night, no fridges for medicine, and no power for schools or businesses.

That’s why we’re asking Denmark, a rich country known for its clean energy leadership, to help. Denmark can help fund two clean energy projects in Africa that are ready to go — and help bring electricity to 1 million people.

We want to collect 5000 video messages from people around the world telling Denmark why clean energy matters.

In September, just before world leaders meet at the United Nations, we’ll post a video on LinkedIn featuring some of your messages. We’ll tag Denmark’s Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, and other officials, and ask people everywhere to comment and show support — so Danish leaders know the world is watching.

Add your voice and help power change. Record your message before August 31!
