Congress: Vote NO on Rescissions

Congress must protect lifesaving foreign assistance now.

What to know:

  • The White House’s Rescissions Package cuts over $9B in existing foreign aid programs.
  • These livesaving programs include school meals, childhood vaccinations, and medicines.
  • Urge Congress to vote no to these drastic cuts.

Learn More about this cause:

For decades, both Republicans and Democrats have championed lifesaving foreign aid programs from feeding the hungry to educating children and stopping preventable diseases to providing vaccinations.

Agreeing to abruptly cutting over $9.3B in existing aid programs will be catastrophic.

Many contracts with frontline organizations — like the World Food Program — have already been suspended or delayed in recent months, putting aid in dangerous limbo.

Members of Congress must stand united in protecting America’s bipartisan foreign aid programs. Recalling funding that has already been committed betrays our values and commitment to help those in need.
