The recently passed reconciliation bill slashes funding to the food stamp program by 20%, that’s $186 billion over the next decade — the largest cut in the program’s history. That means over 22 million families may lose some or all of the support that puts food on their table.
The food stamp program, now known as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), currently helps more than 40 million people in the U.S. afford groceries. Gut it, and we’re not just re-balancing budgets — we’re taking meals away from people who need them most.
With all Members of Congress currently in their home districts for August recess, now is the perfect time to make your voice heard.

Call now. Voice your concerns because no one should go hungry on our watch.
