Global Citizen’s Emerging Creatives Program heads to Nigeria with Sefa Renée Charles-Ayede, a photographer, writer, musician, and painter whose work explores faith, the environment, and politics.
For Global Citizen, she created Se Za Hana?! (Where Should We Go?), confronting displacement, Indigenous land rights, and communities pushed aside for luxury development.
“When you take away a people’s shelter, you attempt to erase their identity.” Her work asks: when underserved communities are pushed to their limit, where are they supposed to go?
