Last September, Jackson Kaguri won the second-annual Waislitz Global Citizen Award, a $100,000 prize awarded to an individual who best demonstrates global citizenship, impact, innovation, and potential. Jackson recently checked in on Skype to share how the award is helping his organization, the Nyaka AIDS Orphan Project, reach more children in need.

Know someone else who is fighting poverty in a completely innovative way? Check back with Global Citizen Awards to nominate them for the Waislitz Global Citizen Award. Nominations will open Spring 2016.
