Throughout 2015, thousands of people around the world have been taking action and raising their voices to harness a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make the world better. From Kenya to India, South Africa to Brazil, London to New York, young and old have been taking to the streets and sending world leaders a powerful message - we must end poverty, reduce inequality and stop climate change.

Famous names like Kate Moss, One Direction, Usain Bolt, Rita Ora have also joined the movement championing campaigns to build momentum and ramp up pressure on world leaders before they meet in New York on September 24 to adopt new Global Goals. If world leaders listen to our message, we could be the generation that solves pressing issues such as ending hunger, gender inequality and many others. We can’t afford to miss this chance.

The movement is growing quickly with over 30 million actions taken. This is what has happened so far:

Action1D - One Direction came on board launching the hugely successful action/1D campaign in July calling on world leaders to make the right decisions with our futures. An amazing film called ‘Dear World Leaders’ was produced combining the thousands of amazing photos and videos submitted by young people all around the world. Watch the film.

My Model Citizen - World famous stars such as Kate Moss, Naomi Harris, Christy Turlington, Freya Erickson and Luke Evans joined forces with action/2015 and launched an exciting campaign called #MyModelCitizen. They celebrated their model citizen by sharing images of someone who has inspired them the most in their life on Instagram and Twitter. Check out #MyModelCitizen
