The world is on the brink of something special. A once in a generation setting of global goals for the future of our people and planet.

The ambition of these goals is awesome. If they are fully implemented they could herald the end of extreme poverty, an end to soaring inequality and the protection of people and planet from deadly climate change.

But these global goals will only move from paper to practice if every person knows about them and every world leader feels the pressure of a tidal wave of humanity demanding action. 

That’s where you come in

Will you join us in London to bear witness to the world’s new promises to people and the planet? As night falls on 24 September, people in capital cities around the world are coming together to Light The Way to a better future. The next day our leaders will make a solemn declaration of intent and we want you to be their witness. If we want world leaders to feel they are in the spotlight it is going to take thousands of us piling on the pressure.

As part of the global mobilisation to celebrate the global goals we are going to gather, each holding an illuminated star, to make an unforgettable constellation of hope. We will be instantaneously printing and framing that powerful image to be installed in Downing Street that evening. Our leaders must know we are watching until the goals are met.
Will you join our constellation of hope? Everybody who registers their attendance in advance will be sent a copy of the image to share on social media or print to keep at home. Showing the level of public support for the plan set out in the global goals will send an unmistakable message that we won’t settle for fine words and we’ll be shining a light on them every step of the way from New York to Paris.
