Global Citizen is governed by a Global Board, supported by country and regional boards and advisory committees. The Global Board approves strategy goals, plans and budgets, and ensures country consistency. Additionally, the Global Board approves policies and ensures robust compliance systems are in place. The board meets quarterly and operates in line with our Governance Policy and Global Board Charter. Regional and Country Boards meet at least quarterly, and operate in line with our Governance Policy and our Country Board Charter.

Chris Stadler,
Managing Partner CVC Capital Partners
(Co-Chair)

Based in New York, Chris oversees private equity activities in North America and the CVC Capital Markets Team. He is on the board of the CVC Capital Partners advisory business, is the Co-Chairman member of the Europe/North America Private Equity Board, and also sits on the Human Resources Committee. Prior to joining CVC, Chris worked for Investcorp as Head of Private Equity, North America after joining as Managing Director in 1996. Chris holds a BA Degree in Economics from Drew University, New Jersey and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.

Francine Katsoudas,
EVP and Chief People, Policy & Purpose Officer, Cisco
(Co-Chair)

Francine Katsoudas is Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy & Purpose Officer of Cisco. In this role, Fran oversees critical functions that instill Cisco’s conscious culture, contribute to the company’s overall performance, and advance Cisco’s purpose to Power an Inclusive Future For All.

As head of the People, Policy & Purpose Organization, Fran leads an ecosystem comprised of People & Communities, Corporate Affairs, Workplace Resources, and Government Affairs & Country Digital Acceleration. This strategic alignment of functions and expertise ensures holistic care for the well-being of Cisco’s people, establishes Cisco as a trusted and valued partner to governments and global leaders, and extends Cisco’s reach to positively impact communities everywhere in alignment with the company purpose.

A 25-year veteran of Cisco, Fran has extensive experience leading organizational transformations, driving large scale growth, cultivating successful leaders and teams, and constructing an employee-first culture. Prior to her current role, she served as HR business partner to the Engineering leadership team, and held positions in the Service Provider, HR Operations, Customer Service, Acquisition Integration and Services groups. Prior to Cisco, Fran worked in both the financial and professional services industries with a focus on customer service and operations.

Fran currently serves on the Board of Directors for Americares, Global Citizen, and ADP.

Passionate about social justice, Fran is an activist and advocate for a variety of causes close to her heart, particularly women’s leadership, homeless youth, and the Latino community. A graduate of the University of California Berkeley, Fran lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two children.

Chris Anderson,
CEO, TED

Chris Anderson is the Curator of TED, a nonprofit devoted to sharing valuable ideas, primarily through the medium of ‘TED talks’ – short talks that are offered free online to a global audience.

After a career in journalism, and publishing Chris Anderson became the Curator of the TED conference in 2002 and has developed it into a global platform for disseminating ideas worth spreading.

Chris was born in rural Pakistan, and grew up in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, where his father worked as a missionary eye surgeon. He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy and Politics, and then entered journalism. In 1985 he formed a tiny start-up to launch a computer magazine. Its success led to more launches, and his company Future Publishing grew rapidly under the slogan “media with passion.” Chris expanded to the United States in 1994, where he built Imagine Media, publisher of Business 2.0 magazine, and creator of the popular games website IGN. The combined companies eventually spawned more than 100 monthly magazines, employing 2,000 people. They allowed Chris to create a private nonprofit foundation, the Sapling Foundation, devoted to leveraging the power of ideas. Sapling acquired the TED Conference in 2001, and Chris then left his businesses to focus on growing TED. Under his stewardship TED has broadened its scope to include not only technology, entertainment and design but also science, politics, business, the arts and global issues. In 2006 TED began free distribution of its talks on the the web.

Michele Anthony,
Executive Vice President, Universal Music Group

Michele Anthony is Executive Vice President of Universal Music Group. Among her responsibilities, Anthony oversees the U.S. Commercial Services Division that includes sales, live events, label merchandising, college marketing and fan and consumer engagement. In that role, she works with the company’s U.S. labels to maximize commercial and strategic opportunities to establish new revenue streams, form alliances with third parties, and create a variety of special projects.

Additionally, Anthony is responsible for UMG’s global brand partnerships, the company’s Canadian operations and Universal Music Enterprises, the U.S. catalog division. She also oversees development of UMG’s film, television and theatrical projects alongside Universal Music Publishing Group Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson. She most recently founded 7H Entertainment, a consulting and management firm whose clients included Pearl Jam, Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osbourne, Prince, Björk and Soundgarden.

Prior to forming 7H in 2006, Anthony was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Sony Music Label Group U.S. where she oversaw the day-to-day management and operations of the company’s labels. Before Sony Music, Anthony was a partner in the entertainment law firm of Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Phillips, where her clients included Guns N’ Roses, Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden, Rick Rubin, Sub Pop Records, The Sugarcubes and The Pixies.

Anthony also chairs the Global Poverty Project (GPP) – Global Citizen Tickets Initiative, a campaign whereby major artists donate concert tickets that are earned when users take specified actions to end global poverty.  She also is an advisor for GPP’s Annual Central Park Global Citizen Festival.

Nir Bar Dea,
Chief Executive Officer, Bridgewater Associates

Nir Bar Dea is Bridgewater Associates' Chief Executive Officer, responsible for setting and driving the strategic goals of the company and overseeing the day-to-day management of the firm. He is also a Partner, a member of the Operating Board of Directors, chairs the Executive Committee, and is a member of the Operating Committee.

Nir’s career at Bridgewater began in the Research department, where he took on the opportunity to shape the future of the organization, working closely with company leadership to drive the key transformative initiatives in the investment function and beyond. Under Nir’s stewardship, the firm’s front office was reimagined by fully integrating the Research, Account Management, and Trading departments into the unified Investment Engine that exists today.

More recently, Nir served as Co-Head of the Investment Engine, where he worked closely with the Co-Chief Investment Officers and CEO to manage the Investment Engine and spearhead Bridgewater’s holistic department-level strategic vision. While in that role, Nir was responsible for the establishment of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee, an important step in the transition of the firm’s investment governance to the next generation of talent.

In February 2021, Nir was named Deputy CEO, a role in which he partnered with then-CEO David McCormick in managing the firm. With David, Nir established the decision-making structures used to guide the strategic and operational management of the company — the Executive, Operating and Commercial Committees. Leading up to and throughout his time as Deputy CEO, Nir — with the team — directed Bridgewater’s response to the COVID pandemic: from maintaining business continuity through remote work, to establishing safety posture and protocols, to thinking critically about the future of work at Bridgewater. In January 2022, he was named Bridgewater’s Co-CEO.

Prior to joining Bridgewater in 2015, Nir served as Advisor to the Israeli Mission to the United Nations in the 2014 General Assembly. He also has a diverse background in entrepreneurship, having run a multinational real estate investment operation and founded a drone technology start up. Originally from outside Tel Aviv, Nir is a retired major and a platoon leader in the Israeli Defense Forces.

Nir received his MBA from Wharton and his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Interdisciplinary Center at IDC Herzliya, where he graduated first in his class. In 2020, Nir was named one of Fortune’s “40 Under 40” in Finance

Dr. Paulin Basinga,
Global Policy Advocacy and Communication Director, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Paulin leads the foundation’s issue advocacy work and partners with the advocacy teams in Asia and Africa. PAC is responsible for crafting and implementing advocacy strategies (e.g., issue communications, coalition building, champion building, civil society partnerships, etc.) aligned with each of the foundation’s global program strategies.

Previously, as the foundation’s Director of Health for Africa, Paulin led a team that developed and implemented country plans to advance the foundation’s health priorities in Africa. Earlier, he was the foundation’s country director in Nigeria, where he re-established critical partnerships and advanced the foundation’s health, nutrition, agriculture, gender, and financial inclusion priorities and aligned them with the Nigerian government’s Human Capital Development Agenda.

Paulin joined the foundation in 2012 as a senior program officer on the HIV team. Before joining the foundation, Paulin served as deputy director of research at the National University of Rwanda’s School of Public Health. In that role, he designed, implemented, and evaluated public health interventions for HIV, tuberculosis, and maternal and child health. He also led research into ways to strengthen health systems in Rwanda and Africa. 

Paulin earned his medical degree at the National University of Rwanda and has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in international development from Tulane University. He lives in Seattle with his wife and their three boys.

Andy Bernstein,
Executive Director, HeadCount

Andy Bernstein helped found HeadCount in 2004, and became its executive director in the Spring of 2008. Under his leadership, the organization has registered over one million voters, forged alliances with hundreds of musicians and entertainers, and run dozens of successful voter engagement campaigns with partners such as Spotify, MTV and Vans. He was recently chosen as an honoree in the 2021 Billboard ‘Change Agents’ list in recognition of HeadCount's unprecedented impact during the 2020 election.

He has been a featured speaker at the South by Southwest music conference and appeared as an expert commentator on ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and multiple other media outlets. He also oversaw production of public service announcements starring Jay-Z, Dave Matthews, members of the Grateful Dead and Brockhampton, the most recent of which was distributed by the Ad Council.

Prior to creating HeadCount, Andy was best known in the music community as an author of "The Pharmer's Almanac", a guide to the band Phish that sold over 70,000 copies. He also worked in sports for over a decade, serving as media editor of Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal. and later as Vice President of U.S. Corporate Development at the technology company Kangaroo TV.

Mark Campana,
Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Concerts, Live Nation Entertainment

Mark Campana is the Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Concerts at Live Nation Entertainment. Prior to COO, he was Co President of North American Concerts and prior to this position, he operated as President of the Midwest Region for the company. Mark has worked for the company, or its predecessors, since 1980. His first position was in 1979 with the Nederlander Organization as part of the management team responsible for the opening of the Poplar Creek Music Theater in Chicago. Over the next 10 years, he was a Project Manager for the amphitheater construction in Chicago, Toronto, Cincinnati, and Washington D.C.; he also worked at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. In 1989, he moved into the Booking Department, and in 1994 he became the head of talent acquisition for all Nederlander music facilities outside of Los Angeles. As the head of booking, he was responsible for six amphitheaters, various clubs, theaters, and parks around the country. With the SFX acquisition of the Nederlander Organization, he was appointed the responsibility of booking Chicago, Milwaukee, and Cincinnati, and he eventually became the Regional Vice President of Operations upon the Clear Channel acquisition of SFX. Mark graduated with a degree in Theater and Arts Management from Illinois State University.

Peter Carter,
EVP External Affairs, Delta

Peter Carter is Delta's Executive Vice President - External Affairs overseeing international, legal, regulatory, government affairs, and sustainability teams worldwide. Peter has also served as Delta’s Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since July 2015 and is a member of the Delta Leadership Committee.

Peter focuses on optimizing Delta’s international partnerships, ensuring Delta's freedom to operate, protecting Delta's brand, and advocating for Delta's interests before policy makers around the world.  He also oversees Delta’s sustainability strategy of becoming a carbon free airline by 2050.

Peter regularly engages with government stakeholders on matters relating to competition policy, alliances, privacy and compliance. During the height of the pandemic, he helped secure support from Congress and administration officials leading to the passage of the CARES Act.

Before joining Delta, Peter was a partner at the international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where he chaired the firm’s Policy Committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized by numerous organizations and publications, including being honored with a Burton Award for public interest, being named one of "America's Leading Business Lawyers" by Chambers USA, and being named Antitrust Lawyer of the Year in 2013 by Best Lawyers in America.  Before joining Dorsey, Peter clerked for Judge James B. Loken at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Peter serves as a member of the Boards of Virgin Atlantic Airways, the Delta Air Lines Foundation, the Chick Fil-A Foundation, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Business Partnership, Global Citizen, and currently chairs the board of the United Way of Greater Atlanta. He also serves on NYC Mayor Eric Adam’s Business Leadership Council and previously served as a member of the State of Georgia Judicial Selection Commission.

Kelly Curtis,
Manager, Pearl Jam (Retired)

Kelly Curtis has managed Pearl Jam since the band’s inception in 1990. Prior to this, Curtis served as publicist and road manager to rock band Heart (1976 - 1983), tour manager to Japanese metal band Loudness (1983 - 1985), as well as manager to Pearl Jam precursor Mother Love Bone (1983 – 1985).



Always peripherally involved with a host of film and TV projects, Curtis has lent his considerable knowledge of the world of music, surf and skate to such notable ventures as Say Anything (researcher, 1989), Singles (associate producer, 1992), Almost Famous (tech advisor, 2000), Lords of Dogtown (music consultant, 2005), Pearl Jam Twenty (producer, 2011), Showtime series Roadies (producer, 2016) and Let's Play Two (producer, 2017).

Kelly Curtis also serves as the label head of Stardog Records.

Tom Jones,
COO, Women's World Banking

Tom is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Women’s World Banking, an international NGO committed to eliminating financial inequities by bringing low-income women the access and resources they need to secure their futures. He has also served as the institution’s Chief Financial Officer.

Tom is also a Co-founder and Partner of MohrJones, a management consulting firm committed to helping nonprofits secure their future through investments in proper business practices and tools, ultimately enhancing transparency and impact. The firm has led successful turnaround and growth strategies, showing nonprofits how to make, spend, and talk about money.

Prior to joining Women's World Banking in 2010, Tom spent nearly a decade with the New York City Economic Development Corporation under the Bloomberg and Giuliani administrations as a Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Budget Director. Tom began his career as a political aide in the office of U.S. Senator Jon Kyl.

Tom holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University at Buffalo, a M.P.A. from the University of Arizona, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

As a Director of the Board for Global Citizen/Global Poverty Project, he chairs the audit and finance committee and the governance committee.

Leon Kalvaria,
Chairman, Institutional Clients Group, Citi

Leon Kalvaria is a member of the Institutional Clients Group Global Management Committee, the Banking Capital Markets Advisory Executive Committee and Citi’s Private Equity Investment  Oversight Committee. Previously, he was Global Head of Consumer and Healthcare Investment  Banking.

Leon joined Schroders in 1996 as Global Head of Consumer Banking, and Citigroup in 2000  following the merger of the two companies.

Prior to Schroders, Leon served as Vice Chairman and a Director of Triarc Companies, an  investment company, and as Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse  First Boston. Leon was also a pioneer in the interest rate swap market at First Boston and a founding  member of ISDA.

Leon has advised numerous Chief Executive Officers and Boards of Directors in some of the largest  and most complex global mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations and public offerings.

Leon received his BA from Princeton University (Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International  Affairs) and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Heineken Family Council, and serves  on the Board of Directors for Global Citizen.

Randall Lane,
Editor, Forbes

Randall Lane is the Editor of Forbes magazine and is responsible for the editorial content that differentiates it in print. Mr. Lane rejoined the company in September 2011; he had worked at Forbes in a variety of positions—reporter, staff writer, and Washington Bureau Chief from 1991-1997—and was the author of five cover stories. Most recently, Mr. Lane was Editor-at-Large at Newsweek and The Daily Beast. Previously, he co-founded and served as editor-in-chief of six magazines, including P.O.V. (Adweek’s “Startup of the Year”), Trader Monthly, and Dealmaker. As a hobby, Mr. Lane, a certified sommelier, served as Chief Restaurant Critic for Time Out New York, where he was a National Magazine Award Finalist. He is a frequent television commentator and the author of The Zeroes: My Misadventures in the Decade Wall Street Went Insane.

Kristin Lemkau,
CEO, J.P. Morgan Wealth Management

Kristin Lemkau is the CEO of J.P. Morgan U.S. Wealth Management, with $700B in Assets Under Management and 5,000 advisors in 5,000 branches and 20+ offices. Previously, she was CMO of J.P. Morgan Chase, where she led global brand, media, sponsorships, data and analytics, performance marketing, and consumer communications. As CMO she ranked #5 on the Forbes 2019 list of “World’s Most Influential CMOs,” Entrepreneur’s “50 Most Daring,” Ad Age’s “10 Power Players,” and Business Insider’s “50 Most Innovative CMOs.” Her work on advancing diversity earned her the International Radio & Television Society’s Hall of Mentorship. She is the co-chair of the Robin Hood Foundation’s Leadership Council and on the board of Global Citizen. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

John F. Megrue, Jr.,
Co‐Chairman, Bridgewater Associates

John Megrue is the Co‐Chairman of Bridgewater Associates, an investment management firm. Prior to joining Bridgewater Associates, John was Chairman and CEO of Apax Partners U.S., an independent global private equity advisory firm managing over $46 billion in private equity funds. From 1992 to 2005, he was a Partner at Saunders, Karp and Megrue, a mid‐market buyout private equity firm.

John currently serves on the Board of Global Citizen and is a Board member of Grameen America, the largest microfinance non‐profit in the U.S. that provides loans, savings programs, credit establishment and other financial services to women entrepreneurs living below the poverty line in the United States. John is also Vice Chairman of UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy's Office for Financing the Health Millennium Development Goals. In addition, John is on the Board of Bridges Ventures, a U.S. social impact investment fund. He previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Cornell University.

As an active champion for extreme poverty eradication and the development of global health systems, with a particular focus on issues impacting women and girls, John founded and was Chairman of Born Free Africa, an initiative of the private sector to support the Global Plan towards the elimination of HIV infections among newborn children.

John had served on the Board of Directors for numerous public and private companies including Acelity, Cole Haan, Advantage Sales and Marketing, HUB International, Dollar Tree Stores, Tommy Hilfiger, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Children's Place, Hibbett Sporting Goods, MagnaCare, Tommy Bahama, RSI Home Products, Ollie's Bargain Outlets, Sunglass Hut, TAC Bankshares, Thermoscan Inc. among others.

John graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (1980) and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (1984).

Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka
Former Under-Secretary-General (USG) Executive Director (ED) of UN Women

Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka is former United Nations Under- Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. She was awarded a doctorate in Technology and Education from Warwick University. She has authored several scholarly and other opinion pieces. A Hauser Leader at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. She became a Member of Parliament, Deputy Minister of Department of Trade and Industry, Minister of Minerals and Energy, and finally as Deputy President of South Africa in 2005 to 2008, Dr. Mlambo-Ngcuka worked tirelessly on programmes and policies to reduce inequality. As the head of the UN Women, she has been a global advocate for women and girls. She established initiatives such as the HeForShe for men and boys to address gender equality. She also successfully mobilized an historic $40 billion USD for women and girls around the world. She is a founder and leader of Umlambo Foundation which is dedicated to improvement of education and digital literacy training for educators. 

Jane Rosenthal,
Co-founder, Tribeca Films

Jane Rosenthal is Co-Founder and Executive Chair of the multi-platform media company Tribeca Enterprises, which operates a diverse network of branded entertainment businesses, including the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, award winning Tribeca Studios, and Tribeca Film Festival International. A leading producer of film and television, she is Co-Founder of the Tribeca Film Festival, one of the foremost innovative storytelling cultural events in the United States, as well as the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Tribeca Film Institute, where she also serves as co-chair of the board.

Since co-founding Tribeca Productions with Robert De Niro in 1988, Jane Rosenthal has distinguished herself as a leading film producer with a roster of both critically and commercially acclaimed work. Rosenthal produced one of the highest grossing comedy franchises of all times—Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Little Fockers (2010), for Universal Pictures, and has produced and executive produced several other box office sensations.

In 2001, in an effort to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan, Rosenthal co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival. Since its inception, the Festival has attracted more than 4.9 million visitors and generated over $750 million dollars in economic activity. Rosenthal also co-founded the Tribeca Film Institute, where she has served as co-chairman of the board since its inception. The Institute has become an instrumental resource for filmmakers and arts education, awarding more than $6.75 million in grants to more than 1,500 storytellers around the world and engaging with over 125,000 New York City students and teachers through its Education programs

Rosenthal has been featured numerous times in Variety’s Women in Showbiz and The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment issues. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and has been honored by The Museum of the Moving Image, Tisch School of Arts at NYU, The Matrix Award, and The National September 11th Memorial & Museum. In 2011, she was presented with the Jane Jacobs Medal for Lifetime Leadership from The Rockefeller Foundation and The Monteblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award for her passion and commitment for arts and culture.

Prior to founding Tribeca Productions, Rosenthal was an executive at CBS-TV and The Walt Disney Company.

Charlotte Santo Domingo

Charlotte Santo Domingo studied archaeology and anthropology at Oxford University prior to working as a producer for Mario Testino. In 2015 she co-founded a strategic consultancy firm based in NYC that specializes in lead generation and business development in the retail, consumer and luxury goods sectors. She is also very much involved in the UK expansion of DKMS: Delete Blood Cancer, which has created the largest global database of bone marrow donors. 

She married Alejandro Santo Domingo, a Colombian businessman, who is at at the helm of his family’s conglomerate, the Santo Domingo Group. He is also the managing director of a New York-based investment advisory firm and was elected to the Board of Trustees at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2009 and is the Chairman of the Wildlife Conservation Society. 

Charlotte has served on the Global Citizen Chairman’s Council.

Judy Smith,
Founder, CEO - Smith & Company

Judy A. Smith is Founder and CEO of Smith & Company, a strategic advisory with offices in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, New York and London. For more than 25 years, Ms. Smith has counseled presidents and world leaders through global crises, advised Fortune 50 CEOs through complex challenges, and helped manage the reputations of some of the world’s highest-profile individuals. A former federal prosecutor and Deputy White House Press Secretary, her groundbreaking career served as the inspiration for the hit TV show "Scandal." Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor’s in Science in public relations from Boston University and a JD from the American University Washington College of Law, where she was the first Black woman to serve on the Executive Board of the Law Review. 

Erna Solberg,
Former Prime Minister of Norway

Erna Solberg is former Prime Minister of Norway. She was elected in 2013 and held the position to 2021, and was Norway's second female Prime Minister.

Ms. Solberg was born and educated in Bergen. In 1986, she graduated with her cand. mag. degree in sociology, political science, statistics and economics from the University of Bergen. Ms. Solberg became politically active during her years at upper secondary school, in Young Conservatives and student organisations.  During her university years she had elected posts in Bergen City Council, Bergen and Hordaland Young Conservatives and the Bergen Conservative Students’ Association.

In 1989, Ms. Solberg was elected to the Parliament (Stortinget), a post she has held since – except her period as Minister of Local Government and Regional Development (2001-2005) and Prime Minister (2013-2021). She has been leader of the Conservative Party since 2004.

Ms. Solberg was re-elected to the Parliament in 2021, and is current member of The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence.

Since 2014, she has co-chaired the UN Secretary General’s Advocacy group for global goals – the Millennium Development Goals, followed by the Sustainable Development Goals. Among the goals, she takes a particular interest in ensuring quality education for girls and children, and in combating climate change and its impacts.

Diego Scotti,
EVP, General Manager, Consumer Group and Global Marketing & Communications, Paypal

As Executive Vice President and General Manager of PayPal’s Consumer Group and Global Marketing & Communications, Diego is responsible for bringing PayPal’s breadth of consumer products and services together in a cohesive, integrated, and seamless customer experience and value proposition, and driving enhanced brand awareness and use for PayPal and Venmo.

Diego is a seasoned marketing executive with a proven track record of building iconic brands and innovative customer experiences. Most recently, Diego was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Verizon and drove the transformation of Verizon from a phone company to a technology, purpose-driven, and experience-based brand. Prior to Verizon, Diego served as the Chief Marketing Officer for J. Crew and before that he led marketing at Vogue. Earlier in his career, Diego spent 15 years at American Express where he led several global functions including global advertising and brand, consumer, and small business product development, and managed the loyalty and engagement programs.

An advocate for diversity in the marketing and advertising industries, Diego is the founder of adfellows, a fellowship program designed to upskill diverse talent and drive gender inclusion. He is also Chairman of the Ad Council and serves on the boards of the Association of National Advertisers and Global Citizen. 

Diego holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications from Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Harvey Spevak,

Harvey Spevak is the Executive Chairman and Managing Partner of Equinox Group – a high-growth collective of the world's most influential and differentiated lifestyle brands that are disruptive leaders in the convergence of fitness, experiences, and community. Grounded in his vision to empower people to maximize their potential and their lives, Spevak is responsible for fueling continued success, building long-term strategy and identifying growth opportunities for Equinox Group’s portfolio of brands including Equinox Fitness Clubs, Equinox Hotels, SoulCycle, Blink Fitness, Precision Run, E by Equinox, Pure Yoga, and Equinox Media.

Since 1999, Spevak has led the creative vision and strategic growth for Equinox – transforming four New York City fitness clubs into a global lifestyle brand and the authority on high performance living.  In 2000, he led a management buyout of Equinox to two private equity firms, North Castle Partners and J.W. Childs. In 2006, he partnered with Related Principles to acquire and secure a significant minority investment from global consumer-focused private equity firm Catterton in 2017.

Under Spevak’s leadership, the company acquired SoulCycle in May 2011 with only six locations in New York City, having since grown its thriving community to expand globally. In the same year, Spevak launched Blink Fitness, a premium and value-oriented fitness brand with locations across the U.S., and the first American outpost of Pure Yoga, Asia’s premiere yoga studio.

Spevak has been the driving force behind Equinox Hotels, which unveiled its first property in Hudson Yards in the summer of 2019 as a true culmination of the company’s lifestyle brand promise. Conceived to offer an entirely new luxury hospitality experience to meet the needs of the high-performance traveler, Equinox Hotels is poised for category disruption with plans for global expansion of additional properties over the next 10 years.

Equinox also celebrated its 100th club milestone with the opening of its iconic Hudson Yards location, the epicenter of high performance at a grand scale.  Set in one monumental location, the largest club yet, first-ever hotel and masterfully designed headquarters all stand together as a testament to the brand’s strength and foreshadow the tremendous opportunities ahead.  The same year, the brand launched its first stand-alone U.S. iteration of its most exclusive offering E by Equinox, co-working venture Industrious at Equinox and bespoke travel experiences Equinox Explore. In addition, the Group formalized its venture arm, Equinox Ventures. 

Throughout 2020, Spevak spearheaded the genesis of an integrated omni membership model that built upon Equinox’s touted in-club offering with the launch of its Equinox+ app to create a holistic, multi-layered approach to fitness. Offering seamless access to physical and digital programming with unlimited on-demand, in-club and live classes, personalized scheduling, activity tracking, and more, Equinox+ has established itself as the world’s first-ever truly digital-meets-physical experience.  

Spevak is a member of the University of Michigan’s School of Business Advisory Board, sits on the board at The Shed, New York City’s center for artistic invention, and is a principal and board member of Motivate Bikeshare Holdings LLC, a global bike share operator, including Citi Bike in New York City. In addition, Spevak contributes to several charitable organizations including Cycle for Survival, of which Equinox is a founding partner.
