Today, your voices were heard by the Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg.

In a meeting with The Global Poverty Project, Prime Minister Solberg saw an exclusive screening of this compilation of YOUR voices.

Your calls to action were incredibly powerful.

So powerful in fact that Prime Minister Solberg has publicly committed to attending the Global Citizen Festival in September!

The good news doesn't stop there! Your voices, along with the witty and wonderful call to action from Stephen Colbert, host of this year’s Global Citizen Festival, inspired the Prime Minister to take time out of her schedule to record this video. Check it out!

Personally, I love her humour. I think she is the absolute bomb-diggity!

Just think: all it took was one minute of your day—during the ads of your favourite TV show, while waiting for your food to reheat in the microwave, sitting in the doctor's office, whatever—one minute that makes a huge difference to the lives of millions of children and adolescents around the world. And not only to them but to their children and their children's children and their children's children's children and... Well, you get the jist of it.

It’s awesome to see global citizens doing their part to ensure global access to education.  We have the power to make a difference and make governments accountable, but we have to join together because strength lies in numbers. All it takes is a few minutes from each of you for our collective voice to be heard in the decision-making rooms of global leaders.

On behalf of the people all over the world who YOU are helping, thank you, global citizens, for your continued commitment to achieving the ambitious task of ending extreme poverty by 2030.

YOU ARE AWESOME!
